Hello PCO users! A new mini-update for you has come once again. Hope you are all enjoying spring wherever you are!
New Look Becomes Permanent: We are very excited about our look! It will now be the default. As you know, we are continually looking to improve the look of the site and are always working on making things better. Hope you enjoy!
New Email Look: The notification emails will now look slightly different (just a little more organized). Things are situated a bit differently but no information has been excluded that was there before. Another change to the emails is that you can now edit the default email text. When you go to “email these people”, your box will have the script that we have written, which you are now able to edit if you’d rather have it say something else.

Edit Scheduled Person Dialog: This box comes up when you add or edit someone scheduled to a plan. It now looks a bit different but again, all content is the same. The biggest difference is that we’ve moved the plan & rehearsal times to a list on the right, and instead of assigning the selected person to a time by checking a checkbox, simply click on a time to select or deselect it. We really feel that this looks much cleaner and will be redesigning several of the other dialogs in the near future.
Quick Links Change: We have moved Quick Links from the left sidebar to underneath the Plans tab. When you hover over Plans, you will see the Recently Viewed Plans at the top (if applicable), then all the Quick Links for that same day below.

It would be great if you could permanently edit the default email text . I’d like to add my address/phone number and other info without have to do it each time I send an email. Otherwise, nice improvement!

Thanks for the changes, especially to the email. Is there any way that we can upload attachments & post our own links into emails at some point in the future?

LOVE the new changes. I was just working in PCO today and noticed them as I went along. Definitely big improvements for accurately communicating with the team. I always wanted to know what I was sending in my emails…

I agree that the new look is very nice. However, I noticed that the rehearse MP3 player does not allow the “use old” option anymore. I miss this player, as the new player does not continuously loop through all the songs, but you have to pick them one by one. I am in the habit of starting the player and listening on my computer thoughout the day. This is not possible anymore unless there is an option that I don’t see.

Looks nice, feels cleaner and more efficient.
Question: when scheduling someone for a plan, putting their info in, and hitting ‘accept’ (not on the email that goes out, but when preparing the email on the admin end of things), it used to take you back to the ’schedule a person’ window. this made it easy to do 5 or 6 or more in a row.
Can we have that back…. please?!?!?

Email editing is great. Cleaner look to emails…very nice. Thanks for allowing me to focus on the stuff that really matters to me by taking care of the other stuff that really matters!

Is there a way to “schedule a group” along with “schedule a person”. For one example: We have a choir of about 50 that is on once a month and it would be nice to be able to put all the people in the choir into a group and schedule them with one click then having to schedule each individual. This would save time and be very efficient. You guys are doing a great job and thank you!

Awesome. Glad to have the editing ability on the Matrix layout. I seem to spend a lot of time in that layout scheduling people, reviewing who’s confirmed/declined/unknown, and now I can make changes to their status as I talk to people. Just great! Thanks a ton.

I’m not a fan of the new look myself, but I appreciate being able to edit the stock email wording. This service is definitely making it easier to manage our ministry volunteers!

Feature Requests:
Can we edit the template for weeks that have already been scheduled? Ex. We program out the whole year in advance and post it on PCO, if we have to make a change to a position or add something to the default service order, it has to be done manually on each one. We would love to be able to edit the master template on scheduled weeks.
Also, since we use it to program ideas and keep notes on the series it would be nice to have a “brainstorm” type section that we could write notes or drop files and it wouldn’t be public so people won’t see our messiness and it won’t show up on a printed schedule.
Also, can we have another search/filter/sort section in the songs that will sort by date added? It’s hard to remember which songs we’ve introduced recently.
