Mobile Flow Editing

photo 2Around three weeks ago we enhanced the mobile version of Planning Center with the ability to schedule and email people. Now we’re proud to announce that we just updated our mobile site to include the ability to add and edit items, songs & headers!

iPhone Flow EditAdditionaly, each user can easily change their status from the mobile site as well. Status is indicated in a color-coded bar at the top of the flow, and can be changed independently for each position they are scheduled.

Only mobile phones whose web browser is based on webkit (including iPhone, Android & Pre), are able to use any editing functionality at this time, for reasons explained in the previous post.

Wahoo! This is great, I can finally plan on the go!

I’m really interested to see more work done with this feature (being able to change rehearsal times, send out emails – also an offline mode would be great too). The app is still kind of laggy even on wi-fi, but its definitely usable, good job!

Just as a note, if all that is required is a webkit based browser, this should also work on the Blackberry for people who are using the Bolt or Skyfire (Skyfire is in closed beta right now) browsers as both are based on Webkit.

It may also work with the new Opera Mini 5 for Blackberry as well (since javascript functionality of webkit exists in Opera Mini 5).

I’ve got a Pre & it works great! Tons better than previously. It’s the best mobile site that I need to use for ministry.

@ Reggie – great suggestion on Bolt! It would still be nice to actually have a Blackberry app for PCO, but Bolt makes the site somewhat manageable until one can be developed. You introduced me to a new “full-internet” browser that actually works well. I’ve been wanting to edit PCO on the fly but haven’t been willing to go out and get a new phone to do it. Thank you!

Great, great, great!!! I and my team would love to listen to the songs next… is that possible?

Thanks so much for helping us be more productive!

@Andrew – You’re welcome. Bolt is a really good browser (it is also available for Palm and Windows Mobile) and works really well with the web version of PCO. As you stated though, it would be awesome to have a native BB app for PCO.
